Latin Percussion v3 drumset replaces your existing Latin/Latin Percussion drumset by adding new premium percussion instruments. The v3 updates existing samples, removes toms and some snare and cymbal samples to make space for the additional percussion instruments: cajita, tambora, Peruvian cajon, new timbales and timbale cymbal, panderetas, tumba bass, mambo bell, and bombo. This drumset version is necessary to play all the percussion rhythms included in the collection.

The Afro Latin Caribbean Rhythms collection is so massive, we had to hide the full listing. Click below to see it anyway.

MEET YOUR DRUM WIZ: GORAN RISTA

If you use BeatBuddy, you are familiar with Goran Rista’s work. Goran was the sole drummer producer of the original content that has shipped on the BeatBuddy (1 & 2) and BeatBuddy Mini for over a decade. He also produced 99.5% of the BeatBuddy Premium Library content, now available exclusively here.

To enable even more musicians to use his realistic drum sample libraries and MIDI drum loops, Goran developed and launched Handy Drums, award-winning virtual drum and percussion instruments for DAW users.

A graduate of New Zealand’s School of Music with a degree in Jazz Performance, Goran has extensively traveled the world playing music before settling in Miami, FL, as a session drummer/ producer for the last 18 years.

He has produced thousands of MIDI drum loops and over two dozen drum sample libraries in various formats, used by well over 300k musicians worldwide, both live and in the studio.

MEET THE DRUMMER-PRODUCER: LUDWIG AFONSO

Ludwig Afonso has been one of the hottest drummers on the Jazz scene since moving to NY from Miami in 2003 and landing a gig with Spyro Gyra.

He has been the backbone for Richard Bona’s band for the last decade and has been regularly performing with the likes of Eldar Djangirov, Martin Bejerano, Yosvanny Terry, Giovanni Hidalgo, Joshua Redman, John Benitez, Dave Valentin, Pedrito Martinez, The Rodriguez Brothers, Manuel Valera, Mark Murphy, Juan Carlos Formel among many others.

Ludwig is infusing his vast performing experience and knowledge into drum loop production for the benefit of musicians and producers worldwide.

ULTRA-REALISTIC DRUMS AND PERCUSSION SETS

Unmatched in drum realism, GoranGrooves’ kits sound like real drums and percussion being played right in front of you in a room instead of a bunch of individual drums sounding in their own isolated spaces.

GoranGrooves’ meticulously crafted drum samples blend science and art, imbuing a unique character that defines the identity of any drum machine or software VI they are played on.

You’ll still get the size and breadth beyond the form factor while keeping within BeatBuddy’s 100MB RAM framework.

An acoustic drumset coming out of BeatBuddy pedal, like Genie from a bottle.

MULTIPLE DYNAMIC LEVELS FOR DRUMSETS

Each drum and cymbal was sampled at many dynamic levels to faithfully capture the instrument’s full dynamic range.

Each instrument comes with enough dynamic levels to produce a believable performance on your guitar pedal drummer.

ROUND-ROBIN SAMPLES FOR DRUMSETS

A human ear can intuitively distinguish between the same snare sample played repeatedly (producing a “stutter” effect) and of a real drummer playing a snare drum. When a drummer strikes a drum, each sub-sequential stroke is slightly distinct from the one before, no matter how consistently they are played.

To solve this, we sampled each drum and cymbal numerous times at various dynamic levels. Then, during playback, samples are swapped, and a different sample is triggered for each hit.

DRUM BEATS WITH A HUMAN FEEL

For your pedal drum machine to not sound like a machine, the drum beats must not be mathematically perfect.

Even the greatest drummers do not play perfectly but slightly swing the subdivisions and lie back on certain beats. When done consistently, they make the music feel good.

Our drum beats are not mathematically perfect, but they have that human imperfection magic injected into them while keeping a consistent feel.

Zoomed in view of midi note off grid indicating human feel.

EXPERTLY EDITED MIDI DRUM LOOPS

Whether played in or programmed, all MIDI drum loops included in our collection are clean and loop seamlessly. They have been carefully edited and programmed so that each note sounds as it would in real life if played by a human drummer.

MICRO-DYNAMICS

A rhythm played on a percussive instrument can have many dynamic levels within a single bar. Some notes are strong and used to spell out the main rhythm, while others are soft and “ghosted,” providing the much-needed flow. They act as “time glue,” bridging the gaps between accented notes while delivering a subliminal sense of time and groove.

Further, as the velocity of drum playing changes, articulations may also change, so having those at the correct levels is essential for natural-sounding grooves.

Our MIDI drum loops have the appropriate microdynamics to make them sound as natural as possible when played back through one of our drumsets on the BeatBuddy.

Demonstration of dynamics of midi files.

“IN THE POCKET” BEATS

A rock-solid, consistent drum groove that fits well into the music is considered to be “in the pocket.” Solid timing, good feel, and microdynamics converge to make these loops sound realistic.

The drum beats in this pack will deliver “the pocket” with every loop, so all you need to do is to make sure to lock in with them.

What is the difference between GoranGrooves Complete Collection 2026 for BeatBuddy and Groove Monkee Collection?

The content of the Groove Monkee Collection is entirely different from that of the GoranGrooves Collection, as each was produced independently by different producers.

While Groove Monkee does not produce any drum samples, GoranGrooves is renowned for its drum samples. In addition to different content regarding MIDI loops and BeatBuddy songs included in each bundle, GoranGrooves Complete Collection also includes 21 additional premium drumsets for BeatBuddy, as well as the GoranGrooves Default drumsets for BeatBuddy.

GoranGrooves Complete Collection offers unmatched value for money.

Can I merge the Complete Collection into my existing BeatBuddy project?

YES! In addition to installers that will place the full Complete Collection onto a blank SD card, we also provide dedicated installers that will add only the premium library content to your existing project, effectively merging the two. You can deselect any drumset or song pack you do not wish to install.

Please note that this option does not include the Default Content.

We have documented adding only the premium content to your existing BeatBuddy project in detail.

Can I get a discount to upgrade from a previous version of the Complete Collection?

What happened to the BeatBuddy Premium Library website?

In a nutshell, GoranGrooves was the official and exclusive content provider for the BeatBuddy Premium Library (formerly located at library.mybeatbuddy.com domain) for nearly a decade. Singular Sound unitarily decided to merge it into their main website, creating a marketplace. As GoranGrooves owns all content it produces and did not agree to move it to the SingularSound.com website at their proposed terms, Singular Sound had to take the content offline on the BeatBuddy Premium Library website, and forwarded the homepage to their main website.

However, all content previously available at the old BeatBuddy Library is now exclusively available at GoranGrooves’ Premium Library For BeatBuddy.

How do I install the BeatBuddy Complete Collection?

We provide installers for GoranGrooves Complete Collection (for BeatBuddy) on Windows and MacOS that will place the entire BeatBuddy project directly onto your SD card.

You can find installation details here.

Can I edit the contents of the Complete Collection?

Yes. Many of the included BeatBuddy songs contain generic beats meant to be combined into your own BeatBuddy songs to suit your performance needs. We recommend using the newly-released Singular Sound’s BeatBuddy Manager Online software (a web app) to edit content directly on your SD card.

You can combine existing parts into new songs and even edit the included loops and fills.

If you have any other questions, please email us.
